Start at the source
The Federal Reserve FOMC calendar and ECB decision archive provide official meeting records. A rate decision, an accompanying statement and a later set of minutes answer different questions. Do not present preliminary forecasts as already-decided policy.
How policy reaches a currency
A central bank changes short-term conditions directly but markets price a path of expected policy. Relative yields, inflation news and the risk environment can amplify or offset any currency move. Read our EUR/USD research framework before assigning a single cause to a price swing.
Research checklist
Note the announcement’s local time, the previous decision, changes in wording and available official projections. Compare with a contemporaneous market expectation only when an actual dated survey is available. We do not provide an automated release feed or invented consensus estimates.
