Research scope: Pepperstone Limited’s United Kingdom offering, reviewed 17 October 2026. This is a source-dated description of disclosures, not an endorsement, independent platform test or live spread comparison.

Which Pepperstone company signs your contract?

Pepperstone’s UK legal-document hub names Pepperstone Limited as the counterparty for its UK account agreements. Its site describes this entity as FCA-regulated, with registration number 684312. That is a firm-issued claim. Readers should independently confirm permitted services, current status and history in the FCA Firm Checker before sending funds. A globally advertised “Pepperstone” account may be served by a different legal company outside Britain.

Standard versus Razor is more than a headline spread

The UK fee schedule and account comparison distinguish two CFD pricing structures. Standard generally builds the charge for forex trading into a wider variable spread, without a separate commission on those FX CFD trades. Razor advertises raw-style variable spreads plus commissions, whose currency and amount depend on account and trading platform. Both can incur holding charges when applicable.

The Razor page mentions spreads “from 0.0,” which is a minimum marketing claim, not a representative average executable spread. Its published commission tables should be used with the right platform, account currency, trade size and both legs of the transaction.

Consider a hypothetical standard FX position of 100,000 EUR against USD. If the realized spread were 0.9 pip on one account and 0.2 on another, the spread-only costs would be about USD 9 and USD 2 respectively before commissions. The second account’s true cost might nevertheless be higher after per-side fees. These are invented teaching assumptions, not observed Pepperstone prices.

Platform combinations can change by account type

Pepperstone’s UK account comparison lists its own platform plus integrations such as MT4, MT5, TradingView and cTrader. Crucially, the availability table differentiates account and product combinations. For example, some third-party integrations are restricted to Razor within the listed CFD offerings. Selecting “MT4 supported” in a simple directory is insufficient without identifying the account that supports it.

Readers interested in automated strategies should also test permitted order types, exportable reports, availability of relevant software integrations and whether commission posting matches expectations on small order sizes.

Funding, withdrawal and risk terms

The UK legal hub links to specific contractual terms and execution policies. Read those documents for account closure, dispute procedure, negative-balance provisions, custody, transfers and operational risk. A deposit button is not evidence that your bank, country or payment rail is supported. Nor is a fast test deposit evidence of the reliability of a large later withdrawal.

UK tax comments on spread betting are not universal advice. Personal circumstances, product type and tax law matter. A spread bet and CFD may appear similar on a chart but represent different contracts.

Common mistakes and limits

Avoid taking “zero spread” to mean free trading, using an overseas entity’s high leverage as a UK entitlement, or quoting commission without specifying its unit and side. We have not performed independent live execution testing, personally authenticated an FCA register lookup, surveyed withdrawal outcomes, or tested the platform with a real account. Those are material research gaps, not silent assumptions.
