Fact-Checking Policy
A reproducible approach to evaluating financial claims.
Primary sources
For policy decisions, prioritize central-bank releases; for regulation, consult official regulator registers; for company results, consult audited filings or official announcements; for economic data, consult the issuing statistical agency.
Numerical claims
Check period, currency, unit, adjustment, timestamp, revision status and source license. A historical rate should not be represented as live. Forecasts require identification as estimates, and trading performance claims require reproducible evidence and conditions.
Human review
A specialist reviewer should record a review date and source checklist before public financial news, broker evaluations or consequential strategy recommendations are published. None of the draft broker entries are represented as reviewed.
Unresolved uncertainties
If a key fact is disputed or cannot be established, label that limitation or do not publish. Avoid converting an interpretive hypothesis into an asserted fact.
